SEATTLE ART FAIR 2026.  FROM  "SPACE FOR DREAMS"

 Description

In this paintings I am trying to represent balance between landscape and memory — not a literal place, but an emotional terrain. What stands out most is not just one element, but the way color, mood, movement, and texture all work together.

Mood / Atmosphere - You are  like looking over land after rain, or remembering a place rather than standing in it and  It feels emotional without explaining itself directly.

Color - The earthy greens, ochres, mossy yellows, blacks, and muted grays create a very organic palette. The colors are restrained rather than decorative, which gives the painting maturity. It stays between abstraction and landscape and has a mature contemporary landscape language — expressive, layered, atmospheric, and emotionally intelligent.

Technique / Surface -  The scraping, layering, transparent washes, and directional marks create history within the surface.

Important qualities: gestural movement, broken planes, partially erased marks, textures that suggest construction and erosion at the same time.

This gives the work energy and authenticity.

Composition-The composition pulls the eye inward through diagonal movement and layered pathways. It  reads like aerial perspective or fragmented fields.
